What is Hackfest?

Hackfest brings together over 1,500 cybersecurity enthusiasts each year in Quebec City. Since 2008, we've offered a unique experience combining high-level training, challenging competitions, themed villages, and networking in a friendly atmosphere. Whether you're a curious beginner or a seasoned expert, Hackfest is the place where the community comes together to learn, share, and push boundaries.

Four days of intensive training on cutting-edge hacking and security topics. Our instructors, recognized experts in their fields, offer hands-on courses ranging from security fundamentals to advanced exploitation techniques. Whatever your level, you'll find training to develop your skills.

From the Beginner CTF for newcomers to the Pro CTF for seasoned teams, and the Classic CTF, our Capture The Flag competitions offer challenges for all skill levels. Complete the experience with Lockpicking, Escape Room, and other unique challenges that put your skills to the test.

Explore our themed villages: IoT, Social Engineering, SCADA/OT, Artificial Intelligence, Amateur Radio, and more. Each village is run by enthusiasts who share their knowledge and offer hands-on demonstrations. It's the perfect opportunity to discover new areas and deepen your interests.

Hackfest Generations welcomes youth ages 9 to 17 for an introduction to cybersecurity in a safe and stimulating environment. The POLAR banquet brings professionals together for an evening of recognition. These programs reflect our commitment to education and community at all levels.
